It's been a long time since I posted last but here is the update.
World of Warcraft - The Burning Crusade.
So it's been over a month now since I bought World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and I have to honestly say the content contained within barely warrants a full expansion especially one that costs 40 bucks. Sure playing a Blood Elf paladin has been fun and all that, and the new starter zones are nice...but we are only looking at 30 levels of content when you can get a game for full price of the expansion. I bought it, doesn't seem worth twenty if you ask me. In all fairness I haven't gotten around to trying out the content from 60-70. The new zones are nice and kinda cool actually quests close together, long quest chains. Linked with a pretty decent story as well, if only they took this care for quest lines in the inbetween zones. The inbetween zones, now you see this is what brings it down, because no matter what between 23(roughly)-60 you are still rehashing the same quests, same zones. Same dungeons, and yes even same battlegrounds. Eye of the Storm is 70+ folks, and most jewelcrafting socketed items are for 60+.
Maybe better luck next time Blizzard. Nothing really awe inspiring here. Orginally I billed as an 8 out of 10 but after writing a better mock up of it, I think I may need to bump it down.

Gears of War
Still loving this game and I haven't even better the standard difficulty of the single player, I haven't had too much time to play much of this between playing the TBC but from what I have played it seems pretty solid. It is definatly a different take on your standard shooter, the graphics are good, the weapons insane. The story could use some help it seems, but otherwise it's fun. Definatly grab a friend to either play online or just to play co-op that is where the meat and potatoes of this game are at, with the revive system, it keeps a continuous fast pace flow to the combat of the game, the action can get quite intense at times. I am yet to play the multiplayer but from what my friends say is don't....it will swallow your soul and your life and you shall never be able to reclaim it. One of these days I hope to be able to jump right and grab it by the reigns.

Dark Cloud 2 -
This little ditty is quite addicting I believe, and the odd thing is there really is not that much to it, it's basically build up...hack and slack...that is all there is, sure there is a town building system and goals but the meat of the game is in it's hack and slash. It's fun but man for a game of this type it is really easy for it to suck you in and eat up your time. You become obsessed with building up your weapon just so you can see what bad assed uberest thing you can carry next. The battle stages are meh, the story and voices get annoying. The whole thing is like a bad Saturday morning cartoon. Somehow though....I still find myself drawn in and unable to pull away I not sure what the thing is about the tractor beam for this game, I seriously think this is like playing Phantasy Star Online on a console. Oh well it is fun and does have it's charm, maybe it is the Saturday morning cartoon appeal of the game. If you want an adventure game with a unique level up system and a Saturday morning cartoon atmosphere, once you get the hang of the weapon system it is easy to pick up and you can invest huge amounts of time into, it isn't that bad. A little above average.
